Hello
I took delivery of a chrono superocean today which I bought from a reputable online watch company. The watch is about 30 months old and looks like new however itwouldnt wind or work. I called the company who said it probably needs calibrating. I have 7 days to get my money back. I have sent them the watch any advice is very wellcome

If it won't wind and it won't run then it doesn't need "calibrating" it needs fixing.

From your description it sounds like you are buying grey market and I wouldn't let a grey market store fix any watch of mine - they can't get access to Breitling parts so use generic parts instead. If it needs to go back insist on an exchange or refund.

Sorry I didn't explain very well. The watch will wind and if you turn the time hands the day and date move forward but it just doesn't run (tick). It is from the Uk and was preowned and comes from the online watch company based in Maidstone.

Same answer, if the watch doesn't run it's not a calibration issue. If the watch doesn't run then it's broken!

In fact, if it doesn't run, it can't be calibrated. If it were me, I'd insist on a full refund and then shop elsewhere.

Good luck!

P.S. A reputable watch dealer would not say that a non-running watch needs calibrating. That's almost as absurd as saying the weather is orange.

Money back can always buy a different one later.

As long as you follow the instructions in the booklet and it still doesn't work, I'd insist on a refund. I agree with the answers above, I wouldn't trust a company that give you an answer like that.
