I have had my Steelfish for almost a year, purchased used, and it stops if I don't wear it for a few days, I figured that was normal if it wasn't wound, please correct me if I'm wrong on that.. Anyways, I have worn it every day for the last month or so, except for at night, and I put it on this AM and went about my day to notice it stopped at 6:03 last night. What should my next step be? I always get confused on changing the date and time and the time range that should be done...any help would be great! Thanks!! |

The power reserve is 42 hours, so that's as long as it will run if left alone. The 'danger zone' for changing the date is 8pm - 3am and if you have used the quick set date or wound time backwards in that window then the watch may well be damaged. In terms of the watch stopping, and presumably not starting when you wore it - I am reading it as having stopped the night before and despite wearing it all day it hadn't started running again, then that's not a power reserve issue. Assuming that the crown isn't pulled out to stop the watch then there is something that needs AD attention if it's not running at all. If it's only a year old then it will still be under warranty so get it to the AD for attention. |

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes I have had it on my wrist since 7am this morning, about 3 hours now and its still not running. Should I try anything before calling an AD? |

I failed to add that the crown is NOT out. Should I set the time and see what she does? |

If the watch is out of beat then it may stop even with a power reserve, but I would expect it to start with the movement of your wrist. Take the watch off and turn it through 360 degrees as you arelooking at the dial (i.e. from crown right to bottom, left, top, and back to right). If that doesn't start it then it's not a beat issue. If the crown is not out then setting the time shouldn't make a difference and I would be reluctant to do too much in case there are some weird things going on inside. Unscrew the crown and pull it out, then pushi it back in again and see if that works, if not then it's off to the AD. |

Good news, good news!!! I ended up sending the watch to FL where it was purchased and the AD called my contact today and let them know it was fixed and ready to be picked up. They'll get it and overnight it to me ASAP! I might just miss the replacment watch I bought to fill the void, NA! ![]() |

They'll get it and overnight it to me ASAP! There is a guy in FL that specializes in Breitlings. The shop(I think it is Swiss Watch Repair) is an authorized repair center. It could be that your AD sent it to them vice BUSA. |
