I have been having some bezel issues lately with my Super Avenger and I cannot seem to find the answer on the forums, or anywhere for that matter.

I looked at my watch yesterday and realized that the bezel was slightly misaligned, so I went to rotate it around and line the rider tabs up again, when I notice the bezel does not want to move. When the hour marker on the bezel is between 9 and 6 the rotation is very firm and loud, when it passes 6 the bezel becomes very mushy and easy to move. The bezel will also rotate clockwise slightly which cannot be good. If I press down on any one of the rider tabs the bezel has a little bit of play in it. I was just going to take the bezel apart and see what is going on but I figured since it is only 2 months old I should just go to my local AD.

As an aside, I wanted to ask first before I went to my AD for a few reasons. The only AD near me is an authorized service center, but I did not buy the watch from them because they do not have the best prices. When I was talking to one of the managers he quasi-inferred that they do not work on watches not bought at their store because he said he could not stress enough the after purchase care when buying from them if you have a problem. Now according to my warranty booklet they must work on it because it was bought at a Breitling AD, correct? Also I cannot recall knocking the watch on anything substantial beyond the every day knocks that happen which are light enough to not even swirl the polished finish. Is this something that would be honored by the warranty or will Breitling/the AD most likely say it was my fault and tell me a shock of sorts was involved to create the problem.

Thanks for the help

Your warranty is good at any store worldwide. If the AD trys to tell you that it's your fault then escalate to BUSA. It sounds as though there is a problem with the spring inside the bezel not being seated properly.

Thanks for the help Roff. It would appear as if my AD lied to me and they are not a service center, they said they would have to send it back to BUSA. They told me it takes about six weeks, which is understandable but I do not really feel like waiting that long just because my bezel is now quasi-bidirectional I will say though that now the tension on the clicks is back to normal, now the bezel just goes clockwise when a little more force is applied.

Does anybody know what size screwdriver is necessary to remove the bezel. It appears as if removing the bezel could not be any easier provided you have the right tool, I would like to see if there is anything actually broken before it gets shipped off for six weeks.

Thanks again for the help.
