Sorry gent's, I know you've probably done this topic to death but I can't find a specific answer by using search.
I have just bought a Rothenschild RS-721-2 B 2 Watch Winder from Amazon.
It gives Clock and Anti-clock settings and up to 1000 TPD.
I have a Navitimer Fighters and am about to receive a Navitimer Olympus (2003 model).
I've read the Fighters should be wound Clock and the Olympus both ways.
Will the Fighters be OK if I set the winder to both ways.
Also is 1000 TPD the right setting?

Well hang on....

It's not as simple as that.

The Olympus winds both ways and needs 650tpd. 1,000 tpd won't hurt it as long as there are still rest periods in a cycle with that many turns.

The Fighters is a different story. That only winds clockwise and requires 800 turns per day. At a 1,000 turn per day setting it is only getting 500 (the half that wind clockwise) so if not worn the watch will stop in approximately 5 days if placed in the watchwinder with a full wind. The anti-clockwise cycles won't hurt, but they won't help.

I'm assuming that you have to set both winders to the same program so I would set it to 800 turns per day clockwise - that will give both watches the wind that they need.

Roff, the winder carries two watches but has a common setting, and yes it does have rest periods.
I've just been looking at http://www.orbita.net/pages/17102B.htm and it concurs with what you're saying that the Olypus Caliber 19 is bi-directional and requires 650 TPD, the Fighters is Caliber 13 Clockwise and requires 800 TPD.
I see what you mean about the Fighters being underwound by 150 TPD if the bi- directional 1000 TPD setting is chosen.
Is the bi-directional winder requirement on the Olympus "either / or", and would any harm come to it if it were continuall wound Clockwise?
If not your suggetion of Clockwise and 800 TPD is an elegant solution.

The Fighters would actually be underwound by 300 tpd (800 - 500).

Winding the Olympus in one direction only won't hurt at all - it's not a 'must' setting, it simply means that the watch will wind in either direction - hence my suggestion.
