So this past Wednesday, we are at the range qualifying with our handguns (Glock, 40 cal), M4 Colt rifles (full auto) and throwing flash bangs. Don't ask, but for some reason I forgot to remove my Chrono Avenger. Well the day is over and I try to reset the pushpiece on my watch and it goes all the way down, no resistance and no reset with the bottom one. The watch is still running, but both pushpieces are completely not working. I can still wind it and it's still keeping time.

I'm guessing the vibration from the machine guns must have caused some type of malfunction. The closest I got to the flash bangs was about 12 feet.

Any stories of the pushpieces going bad or failing with other CA owners?

So its off to BUSA for an overhaul and repair.

Moral to the story, take off your watch when going full auto

By the way, anyone have a quote on what I might be looking at for the overhaul/repair?

I try to avoid even clapping when wearing my watch. You almost have to take it off just to give a round of applause. I wonder how much more durable the B01 movement is.

Well...., it depends on how many screws backed themselves out and where they are. It would be unusual for a pusher to unscrew, although it could happen. I suspect that one or more of the chrono operating lever screws has come loose. Of course the real worry is loose screws floating around in the movement. Chances are that a loose screw will not move far from the original location, but some of the smaller ones can go almost anywhere.

If it suddenly stops, do not attempt to wind it, set it or anything else.

All my questions were answered, he provided me a great service, and ensured my watch was returned to me insured and secured in a black Breitling padded case.

Can clapping really hurt your movement?

I don't take my watch off when I clap, and I haven't had any problems. I don't clap with great regularity, though.

Don't be ridiculous! Clapping will not hurt your watch. I agree that you should be a little careful, but not clapping is just silly.

I mean I can see the thought behind it as far as the force on the watch/movement but I would HIGHLY doubt it would be anything to worry about agreed.
