Hi all,
I just purchased one of these: http://www.breitlingsource.com/watch_de ... e_203.html
with the Slate face at a duty free AD while on a Carribean cruise. I had absolutely no idea what I was doing and wasn't really shopping for this nice of a watch. The credit card just magically transferred from my wallet to the salesperson's hand when I saw it and I walked out of the store with it on my wrist and a stupid grin on my face.

Anyway...enough of the gooshy stuff...I assumed (I know...lust makes you do stupid things) that the alternate time dial turned smoothly like a Tag GMT I had considered and never checked the Colt in the store. On my Colt GMT+ the alt. time dial jumps in hourly increments when it's adjusted. Please tell me this is normal as Belize is a long way away (but wouldn't mind going back :lol: )

Did the dealer not give you a manual?

On the 2893 movements, when the crown is pulled out to the first stop, one direction advances the date and the other direction advances the GMT hand by one hour.

Yes the manual in multiple languages was included along with a very nice leather travel case and a Bakelite box. Page 14 covers the "Second Timezone"
Its entire text:
"The second, independent hour hand makes a complete sweep of the dial in 24 hours. Its position relative to the 24-hour markings inscribed on the dial rim can serve as a second timezone indication. The hand is reset by pulling the crown out of position 2 and rotating it clockwise." There is an illustration of the crown being unscrewed and pulled out and turned clockwise.

So the adjustment is in hourly increments. Thanks!

The GMT change mechanism feels a bit strange at first. It is very loose when you turn it until it reaches the point where it actually engages and jumps the hour. The feel was disconcerting to me too when I first got mine but learned that it was normal. Enjoy, it's a beautiful watch and welcome to the site.

Thanks for your helpful response BR549! That's what I was looking for. The instruction manual is lacking in detail.
