Hi Everyone,

I just bought a Blackbird on a Pilot bracelet from an AD.

I love the watch, but have a couple of issues that I would really appreciaet some comment on.

1) As the clasp is raised, it is quite uncomfortable when I rest my hand on my work desk, palm down.
The bracelet is set up correctly. Has anyone changed the clasp or bracelet because of this - Any ideas/suggestions?
2) the chronograph is not exactly at 12. It is a bout 2 points out of 100 to the right - AD said the watch can be returned and corrected.
3) I just notices that the right side of the date is slightly lower than the left - I assume this can be changed too??

Would really appreciate any ideas/comments as I am a bit disappointed over these things.

Many thanks,

J

Here is the not I sent to my AD

"As discussed,

I have the following issues with the Breitling Blackbird I recently purchased:

• The Chronograph second indicator is not centered - it is to the right of centre.

• Some of the numbers on the right side of the date indicator are lower than the left side.

• At the bottom of the dial, the '50', '120' are out of line and the two white markers above the '50' are not in line - correspondingly, the ‘60’ and ‘120’ are out of line.

• The pointer on the north of the bezel looks out of shape.

I would like Breitling to make the situation right as soon as possible.

Regards,"

I would say send it to get fixed. The issues will only bother you more and more as you wear it.

As for the clasp, you will adjust accordingly over time. I wear an SA and i noticed I involuntarily position my hand different now when typing or screwing around on the net.

The chrono seconds issue sounds like a simple repositioning of the hands - not a big deal, but shouldn't have left the factory like it. The date wheel misalignment is a more complex fix, but it can be done. There do have to be some tolerances in the mechanism so as alex** suggested pictures will help.
