Hello all,

I would like to buy a rubber strap for my Navitimer World, I find the bracelet a touch too breit-bling for everyday use 8)

My question is; can I remove the deployment clasp from the bracelet and use it with the rubber strap?? Or is there a specific clasp which will only fit the rubber strap?

Thank you in advance.

Kind Regards,

Suited.

Welcome aboard. I assume you are talking about removing the bracelet clasp to use on a rubber strap? If you are, then I'd probably advise against it as you'd need to get a rubber strap that has spring bar holes in both ends as the standard Breitling bracelet clasp will not fit a rubber strap designed for a tang and buckle clasp. If you are talking about a leather strap deployant, then that simply will not fit any rubber straps.

Your best option IMHO would be to buy a Breitling Ocean Racer rubber strap with the OEM deployant clasp as part of the package. You can't beat OEM for quality and the deployant the OR comes with is great quality.

Driver,

Thanks for your reply, yes I am talking about removing the bracelet clasp to use on a rubber strap, the rubber strap is the Ocean Racer strap and I assume it has the spring bar holes at both ends, I don't think you can use a tang clasp with this strap? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Watcha,

Pretty sure the answer is a short 'no' - sorry.

Yep, Alan is quite correct, you can't use a tang and buckle with an OR.
