Post subject:  Hi all, Newbie here...

I've had my SuperOcean for a few months now and I couldn't be happier! I left it for a few days and found it had stopped. I wound it up, not sure how many times, and all was good. I then noticed the Date was off by a few days. I waited until 10pm or so and tried to set it back to the correct date, the 23rd (watch says 25th) and nothing happened.

Its still on the 25th, the next day, maybe I set it incorrectly so it'll switch at noon?

Any help would be great!!

Thanks in advance!

If you used the quick set date function at 10pm then there is a chance that you have damaged the watch. You should not use the quick set date or wind time backwards betwen 8pm and 3am.

The reason that the watch stopped is that the power reserve is only 42 hours so you need to wind the watch if it's going to be unworn for longer than that - around 30 turns per 42 hours.

Just use the quick set date outside of the 8pm - 3am window. I always set to the day before and then wind forward past midnight to be sure that I have the am / pm correct.

Keep an eye on the watch during the next 24 hours and see if the date changes - especially at noon, if not then it needs to go back to Breitling.
