Hi guys, new to the form. My Breitling seems like it doesn't want to self wind anymore. I wear it everyday but it seems every two-three days I will have to wind it again even if I have been wearing it non stop... but I can hear things moving inside of it if I move it around... so it sounds like something is working inside.

My question is... is this normal? If its not how do I fix it and how much will it cost to fix?

Thanks,

If you've been wearing it non-stop, then there's no reason at all why it wouldn't be winding itself. If you can hear the rotor moving then it sounds like something has gone wrong with the gearing that transfers the energy from the rotor to the mainspring. That's going to be a job for Breitling to sort out.

If the watch is under warranty then it'll be free. If it's out of warranty....well, who knows what it'll cost. Your best bet will be to call Breitling directly (BUK, BUSA, etc depending on where you're based) and ask them for a rough estimate. Usually they'll do that, but the price they quote is only a guide until they can get inside and see what the problem is.
