Dear Forumners,

I wonder if the Chrono Colt Auto (Ref. A13035) was ever made with dial and hands using Luminova? (I think last production year was 2000 but in the Chronolog 2000 (issued 12/99) no word about Luminova whatsoever. Also generally speaking what was the first year for Breitling to switch to Luminova? Wasn't it year 2000?
Plz do not advise to turn to the AD - sooner or later I'll do that but now I'd like to have your knowledge, mainly regarding the above mentioned watch.

Thx, best regards: Robertus

You can tell whether the watch is Tritium or SL from the dial.

If it says T either side of Swiss Made at the bottom then it is Tritium, if it says L or nothing then it is Super Luminova.

The US government fine on Breitling for importing tritium without a license was in early 1999 and I think they stopped using it pretty soon after that.

Roff, Thx for the quick reply! I know that theoretically the T is the compass but - at least at Breitling - there are lots of dials with Tritium that do not have the T nor L - for example my Aviastar, which was made in 1998, has Tritium dial & hands but no T at SWISS MADE. The scans I've seen about the Chrono Colt Auto are without T or L, even in case of pre 2000 watches but thus it is far less than certain that they were made w/Luminova - that's why I've posted my Q. Any additional input is highly welcome!

Regards: Robertus
