Hello- I'm a new member here and need some advice on the above subject type of watch, one of which I am evaluating for a friend.

Did this Breitling B15 movement come with a Breitling signed rotor or any other brand-specific identifying marks?
A picture of aknown originalmovement would be great.

Everything else looks good based on reference pictures I can find.

The watch looks healthy on the timer although it's running about 5 minutes slow.

Just to clarify.....

I assume that we are talking calibre 15 from the Heuer / Breitling auto chrono days rather than the calibre 15 used in the 90s duograph.

If that's the case I don't believe that it did, but not 100%

Sorry no, not the Heuer cal. 15 movement. The base movement in this watch is the ETA 2892.

I'm not very familiar with the Breitling models, so perhaps I've misunderstood the vintage of this model.

This is a stainless case with gold crown and pushers, compass-style bezel with gold N, E, S, W markers, it's a GMT movement with a day/night indicator at 9:00, and date register at 6:00

OK, yeah, that's a 90s watch (if that's vintage then I am getting old )

Your username made me lean to the original 15 (welcome by the way).

The 2892 based Duograph movement should have Breitling on the rotor.

Thanks for the response and welcome.

My serious collecting pieces are vintage Heuers, and vintage Hamiltons using the same family of microrotor movements. hence the username. My friend seems to be on a small Breitling buying spree, so I'll probably be around asking some more questions. I've already learned a lot more about the brand just reading some of the threads here.

If this is a 90's model I'm looking at, then please move this thread to the correct discussion area, if possible. I don't want to start off here by breaking the posting rules.
