Hello every one....

I am buying my 1st Breitling and I have it narrowed down to the Navitimer or the Navitimer World.

The thing I cannot find out what the different slide rule on the Navitimer is for. Its on the fixed wheel, clockwise; 1000M all the way around to BASE. On the world this is replaced with the 2 thru 24 hr marks.

Can anyone tell me for what calculation the 1000m thru BASE is used for. I am lost. :?

Thank you,
preben

It's tachymetre, for speed calculating.
When you see how many seconds do you need for traveling 1km, just look on the dial and read your speed in km/h.

Spend the extra money and go with tha Navi-World.

The Navitimer is too small to read, and looks very small on the wrist.
