Post subject:  Diamond Aftermarket Bezel

I want to add a diamond bezel to my ladies B-Class two tone watch.

I would like to know of any reputable jewelers who you have dealt with
that have made one for you, I cannot locate anyone locally who can/will
do this.

Therefore I am asking for information on who I might contact that could
help me.

Please, no opinions on original versus aftermarket, I already have the watch
and want to pursue this route, quality at a reasonable price.

Thanks for your help.

If you really, REALLY want to go the (*whisper it*) "aftermarket" route   , then Liori Diamonds has a good reputation.

Called and talked to Al, seemed very nice and knowledgable. Sent pictures of my
watch, priced either channel set or prong set, using my bezel, $900 to $1000.

That seemed a little higher than some of the premade, mostly men's bezels, on Ebay
I asked for good quality stones, his standards in clarity and color.

Anyone else out there, have tried to email BlingKing but no phone number.

Also, anyone have the channel set bezel? I have never seen one in person, Al said
it is shiner because diamonds are slightly larger and light can enhance. I am keeping
my markers, so the traditional Breitling is never wrong, set in prongs.

Opinions and options appreciated.

For aftermarket, channel-set look neater IMHO as the bezel is (usually) die-struck specifially for channel-setting. The problem with most claw-set aftermarket bezels is that the jeweller has to cut into an original bezel to allow the diamonds to be set, and it is nigh-on impossible for them to be as precise and neat as an OEM diamond bezel. Hence if I was going for an aftermarket bezel I'd go with channel-set as the quality of the finish is of paramount importance to me.

Liori may be a little steeper than a lot of eBay, but they do use quality diamonds, and you can specify the colour and clarity you want. Some of the aftermarket bezels on eBay are very low quality.

At the end of the day you really do get what you pay for. An OEM bezel may be seriously expensive (especially considering the relatively small size of the diamonds), BUT you get an unparalleled fit and finish. Nothing can compare to OEM. You also get something that is still classy (by diamond watch standards), as the rocks are sensibly sized. If you buy aftermarket, you can get pretty good results if you are prepared to pay a bit from a quality place, whereas at the cheaper end of the market you can possibly end up with something with rocks the size of sugar-cubes, but with about as much radiance as a sugar-cube too!

Well I took the big step, had BlingKing make a bezel for me and it turned out spectacular.
I had them inset, not channel. Went for the quality stones, did not want clouds or sugar
cubes as stated above. The appropriate size stones were used, the finish and fit is great.

These were set in my gold bezel.

I was worried about the channel look, one store wanted to put diamonds around the outside,
etc. I wanted the traditional Breitling look and that is what I got.

I tried to load the pic, but file is too big. So if you want information, or would like to see what your
watch might look like if done by BlingKing, let me know and I will send you a picture.

I needed pics to show rather than talk about this, so thank you very much.

Hi, Nancy. Looking forward to seeing pics of your B-class beauty. Below are a few shots of my daughter's B-Class with the OEM diamond bezel if you would like to compare... :)
Best,
Ron
