Hi - this is a question probably for all the fellow Breitling Brits regarding how they insure their watches.

Do you insure your watches on your house insurance as a specified high value item, or do you tend to take out specialist watch insurance seperately?

If it is the latter, are you able to point me in the direction of a good reputable company?

The two lings I have are fairly old and are probably(!) covered under my house insurance.

However, hopefully soon I will be adding a 6.75 to my small collection.

Thanks for your help

This topic comes up every couple of months - use the search function and you'll find them. General consensus is that it varies from policy to policy and company to company.

I insure with Bank of Scotland and have just added my current 4 Breitlings at current RRP for value (approx £17,100), it cost me an additional £130 covered both at home and away. Prior to adding them I only had a £1,500 limit per item for 'high risk' valuables. To have covered them in the home only was about £5 cheaper.

Thanks for your replies - I guess I'll check with my own insurance company first. My high risk limit is $1500 so my older lings should be covered.
