Just bought a used Breitling Colt Ocean (A53350) online. It certainly appears to be genuine and my seller has great feedback, but my frustration is that I cannot for the life of me figure out the gauges and operation of the stopwatch. When I press the 2PM button it starts the sweep hand and if I again re-push the button, it stops and one of the gauges marks off the 10th of a second. Pushing the 4PM button resets it. There is a gauge at six o'clock that operates as the second hand. And there is a gauge at ten o'clock that I have not as yet figured out (days?).

But here's my immediate question. In addition to the sweep hand of the stop watch, there is a plain silver sweep hand that seems to move somehow, and on occasion, with the resetting of the stopwatch, but otherwise it just sits still on the dial. Please don't tell me that this is a second hand for the watch that is not operating???

6 o'clock subdial is the seconds for the main time-telling watch.

10 o'clock subdial is the Chronograph Hours I believe anf the 2 o'clock is the Chronograph minutes. The Large seconds hand is the Chronograph seconds hand. Did it not come with a manual?

Thanks. No, bought it used on eBay, and the watch was made 1999-2001.

The 2pm sundial measures tens of second when the chronograph is stopped. There is a sweep second hand for the chronograph that is either stopped and started with the 2PM button or "paused" with the 4pm button.

The question relates to the second sweep hand on the face of the watch. It is measuring chronograph minutes, I have now figured out, but I cannot figure out how to reset it--since I assume it resets to the 12 position. Realize this should have been on the "Help" board.

thanks again.
