Post subject: | Gold Rider Tabs Fading |
I have a two-tone Chronomat with gold riders and recently the riders have begun fading. It looks like the riders have an upper coat, so to speak. The fading is in the form of a small circle on the top of the riders. I can use some gold polish, which brightens them up and makes the finish look fine again, but after a week, they go back to the faded state. Has anyone else had this problem before? Is there any lacquer that you know of that you can put on them to stop them from doing this? I have found some lacquer online for brass, but I am hesitant to put it on my watch. Let me know what you think. Thanks! |

I recently priced up some rider tabs for my Breitling from BUK and they were less than £20 each so just replace them if it bothers you. ![]() |
