I have just bought my first brietling, an superocean. after setting the time not after 8pm or before 3am as instructed, i've put my watch back in the watch but on display. after arriving home from work 9 hours later i noticed it had stoped. the power reserve is said to be 42 hours. is this normal to have stoped after just 9 hours? could i have maybe not wound it on enough? as a newbie to this calibre of watch i've been unsure to take back to dealer incase i looked silly!!

can someone here help?

thanks

WInd the watch at least 40 turns (you can't overwind it) and then let it run. It should be 42 hours plus, if not take it to the AD. It's likely that the watch just wasn't fully wound, but that test will tell you for sure.
