You can only do more damage by attempting to set it or wind it.
There is something wrong in the motion works and possibly the keyless works. The motion works drive the hands and calendar dial(s). The keyless works set the hands and date, and wind the mainspring. It's impossible to determine the problem until the watch is disassembled. I would call BUSA and ask them if you can drop it off. I know you can send watches to them directly, so they should take it. As far as warranty coverage, that's a discussion to be had with them. In any event, the watch is currently useless. The only question is what it will cost to repair it.
