Post subject: | Airwolf Chrono Question |
Why is it that the chronograph always starts/resets to the second hand at the 9 second mark on the dial? Do I have some kind of setting for this, or is this the standard position? Thanks! ![]() |

Sorry but I don't understand this. The Airwolf chronograph is on the digital display. This has nothing to do with he seconds hand. Please explain what is happening in more detail and I'll try to advise. |

When I go to the chronograph mode, (which obviously starts the digital timer from 00:00:00), the second hand begins at the 9 second mark on the analog dial. So while the digital readout starts at 00:00:00, the second hand does not start from the 12:00 o'clock position, but rather from the ~2 o'clock position. I would have assumed that it would begin from straight-up 12:00 o'clock. Does that make any sense? |

OK, I see what you mean. When you go to Chrono mode, it should definitely set the seconds hand to 12 o'clock. On some quartz models, specifically the Yachting versions, you can set the starting point of the minute hand at 50 minutes so you have a 10 minute countdown. I can only guess something similar is going on here. I have a B-1 but it's the same movement as the Airwolf. I've played with it to see if I can change the starting position of the seconds hand but had no luck. Unless someone else on here has the answer, I'd suggest emailing Breitling and ask them how to re-set it. Seems overkill to have to send it back to them for them to press a few buttons! Sorry I can't be of more help. |

Ok, I figured it out. Once the watch is in chronograph mode, by pulling out the crown and rotating, you can adjust where the second hand will start from. All is well now. Thanks! ![]() |
