Hi. Can anyone help me with this? I have a Navitimer 92 and when the second hand reaches the12 o'clock position it seems to free fall to the 4. Otherwise it keeps perfect time and the sub-dials work as well. What can the problem be, what will the fix cost (I'm in the U.S.) and is it ok to wear the watch in the meantime? Thanks. |

Sounds like something in the running train is damaged, though if you are lucky it's just the hand on the post. No real risk to using the watch, for just that, but I would be wary that whatever caused it might have caused other damage. Definitely sounds like it needs Breitling to take a look, and they will provide an estimate of the cost - it would be pure speculation on my part as to cost without knowing the specific problem. |

Thanks. The watch hasn't been worn for several years. It appears that it might just be loose on the post. Everything else works fine and there are no strange noises. It's a beauty that belonged to my recently deceased brother. I hate to, but I have to sell it. Must tell you, since discovering this forum it has brought me lots of enjoyment. Great to meet people as passionate about their Lings, so well informed, so helpful and so damn funny. Love the back and forth on all the eBay fakes and the jerks trying to sell them. Keep up the cause and take care. |

Highly unlikely that the hand will damage the dial because there's no substance to it. That said, I'm not sure that it's simply a loose hand if it's always between 12 and 4, may be something else, but best to get it checked. lingnovice, I'm very sorry to hear about your brother - my sympathies. |
