Jeez, it really p*sses me off the prices in this country. Croco strap in the States $480 (which is approx £240). Croco strap in the UK £330 (approx $660). Yes, I know the exchange rate is currently favourable, but even so.......

Doh, don't mean to add fuel to the fire but with the discounts we get they are more like $325 which is about £163. :?

Wow, that's cheap-as-chips for a new ocean-racer. I really fancy a red one as well, just need to swap over the deployment :)

So, does anyone have a picture of the red one on a watch yet? I know there is a picture in the runway 08, but those never do job ;)

Give me a few days and I'll post some beautifull blurry pics of my Skyland with the red strap!

I tried to get a discount on a croco strap once at my AD, and even though I've used them for years he actually laughed out loud! Like I'd made the most hilarious joke he'd ever heard. :?

While we're on the subject of discounts I mentioned today on one of the other threads that I tried on a TT Chronomat with a diamond bezel the other day at a different AD to my usual one. It was up for £8065. I told the guy I was only trying it on to see what it looked like, to which he said (after clocking my Bentley), "Well, if you're interested in buying today Sir, I'm sure I can do you deal". "Oh yes?" I reply. To which he says, "Well Sir, I could certainly see my way clear to knocking the £65 off". :?

Whoooooa, I mean slow down with those discounts bro! Really push the boat out for me there! Because I'm sure they sell loads of diamond bezeled TT Chronomats every day.

Wow, I think at that point I'd put some fingerprints all over it... I mean really smudge it up without being too obvious and say "No thank you" while walking out the door

Believe it or not, fingerprints would be the least of the problems - some total oaf had obviously changed the strap over in the store (it was on black croco) and had managed to scratch the underside of the lugs in the process!! That alone is worth 65 quid off in my book! Hilarious.

I made a mistake about the price of that Chronomat Evo. The list price wasn't £8065 after all........... it was actually £8265!!! So his £65 discount was actually only 0.7%!

(Sorry, bit of a thread hijack here.... but I think it'd just about run it's course anyway),
