I'm going out of my mind. Every time I accidentally let the power reserve run out and watch stops running, I set the correct time and date and wind it up a minimum 40X, the watch won't run. I let it sit for several days contemplating taking it to authorized repair service center. I then go and pick it up, wind just a couple of times and the watch starts to work again.

Am I winding it wrong?
Is there some secret hand shake I need to do to get this to work?
For several thousand $$$ watch, it shouldnt be this complicated!

Why won't the watch start to work as soon as I start to wind it?

May simply be out of beat.

When you wind the watch rotate it through 360 degrees while holding it in front of you looking at the dial - i.e. rotate it so that the crown goes from 3 to 6, to 9, to 12 and then back to 3.

If that's enough to get it going then it's a simple issue that can wait until the watch is serviced, if not, then it may be a sign that the watch is due for a service.

The same thing happens to me when I let my Navi 01 Limited wind down. I wind it and it doesn't always start immediately. Then I give it a few more and it starts fine. Perhaps it isn't getting the full turn at each wind, as I find the resistance a little harsh and hopefully it will get easier over time. I don't think there is anything wrong with the watch.

You need to get a minimum reserve in the mainspring to overcome the inertia in the running train.

How is a fully wound B01 supposed to sound? After repairs when I would wind it there was a lot of resistance and it seemed like it would wind but as soon as I let go of the crown it would sound like its unwinding. It also became much much louder when wearing it. Aka I would hear it winding when moving my hand.

Sounds when wearing are likely to be to do with the oscillating weight, not the keyless works (winding mechanism).
