hey guys i recently bought a new super avenger. ive rarely worn it and when i have ive been really careful with it. within the past few days i took it off to sleep overnight and when i put it on the next day i realized it had stopped not long after i took it off. i wound it up and put it on again. it stopped within an hour. i went to adjust the time and noticed that the mechanism stuck, then i wound back wards n it stuck, went forward again and it moved. so i set the time and again within minutes it got stuck. is this a common thing? any suggestions on what is probably going on? the second hand also always seems to get stuck on 59 seconds

Could be any number of things - none of which you can solve. Take it to the AD and get them to take a look at it.

You can only do more damage by attempting to set it or wind it. :( There is something wrong in the motion works and possibly the keyless works. The motion works drive the hands and calendar dial(s). The keyless works set the hands and date, and wind the mainspring. It's impossible to determine the problem until the watch is disassembled.

I would call BUSA and ask them if you can drop it off. I know you can send watches to them directly, so they should take it. As far as warranty coverage, that's a discussion to be had with them. In any event, the watch is currently useless. The only question is what it will cost to repair it.

Good luck!!
