I was looking for a decent boox on the history and identification of the vintage Breitlings. Is this a good place to start? Any other suggestions?

I'm sorry, but I have to say that this book is abysmal.

Incidentally, the guy who wrote it went on to Amazon and gave it a wonderful review - and got caught!

If you want a starter book on Breitling buy Benno Richter's. It's far from perfect but it's head and shoulders above this POS.

Richter's is in it's 3rd edition now, same book with updated prices.

:yeahthat

Full of errors and the sections on replicas look to have been taken from the scam sites, repeating the myth of "The 5 grades of Replicas".

There is a new book published this year which will hopefully be available to the public.

Agree with the above, I've never seen so many errors in a book, both factual and spelling/grammar! The publisher needs to go bust!
