Hello guys,
i'm new here and i just bought me this Breitling Antares. Ik had a rough live and i'm intending to bring it bach in it's old Glory. Btw I'm 43 years old, married without children and living in belgium, near to brussels. I'm a military and since my childhood crazy about watches, and a Breitling just has to be in the collection.
So does anyone have an idea what it would cost to chance the "gold" screws on the lunette and the innerring on the watchdail on this Breitling Antares? As u can see the paint starts to come off on the innerring.
Or does one have to chance the entire dail?
If You send it to an Breitling service center do the just the work u ask for or do they automatically do an entire overhaul?
Thx for the answers.
I Yesterdag called to a breitlingdealer and he told me it could perhaps cost about 1000 euro's. Could this be possible or was he just joking because i contacted him by phone?

Unfortunately 1,000 Euros is probably about right through Breitling - maybe more, and they will insist on a full service at the same time.

The problem in going elsewhere is going to be getting the parts, because Breitling won't sell them to independents. You can manage costs somewhat through Breitling by only having them address the things that they have to do - you don't need them to replate the metal, and if you don't want 'official' Breitling screws then you can save there.

Not from Breitling.

I would get a service and the dial attended to at Breitling, as well as the crystal if that needs replacing. I would also have them polish some of the dents out of the chimney (the part of the case inside the bezel).

Then, if you need to save some money, have an independent jeweller / watchmaker replace or replate the screws.

Sorry, not sure what that would cost.
