somehow, from reading these forums, I'm gathering that Breitling parts and services are very expensive.

does anyone have any examples of what they paid for a given part or repair?

does anyone know how Breitling parts costs compare to other brands with watches in similar price brackets, like Omega or Rolex?

I will just always remember a statistic on car parts prices from the early 80's, when Honda's new Civic cost 5 times its retail price if you purchased it in parts, while most European cars cost 2.5 to 3 times, if bought in parts.
Of course, the European car companies have learned from the Japanese since. The Japanese way lowers the price on a new car, shifting cost away from the new car buyer towards owners of older cars.

oh well, I think I'll stop, I got far enough off the subject already ;-)

One screw for the bezel on my Aerospace was around £35 (fitted).

So for the full set it would be over £400 at that rate!

Top tip - if you loose your bezel screws just buy another watch for spares!

A bit crazy when you look at it that way

The only part I've looked into buying on it's own was a Motors T bezel and that would've cost £120-ish, which I actually thought wasn't too bad at all for a Bentley part.

It's pretty safe to say that as far as servicing goes, the more prestigious the brand/the more expensive the watch, the more expensive the service bill.

I have recently paid £231.00 for a full overhaul for my 1998 Wings and £280.00 for a full overhaul on a 1995 Chronomat at Breitling UK  . Hope this helps. Steve

I think Breitling prices are pretty acceptable when comparing with other similar watch brands (i.e. Rolex, which service and parts prices are higher then Breitling)...

BTW, I should've said on my last post, my Le mans cost just over £400 for it's last full service.

As you may have read elsewhere, WoS told me that a full service on my Hercules was the best part of £450.
