On a Chronomat an excessively loose bezel is likely to be the click-spring not being seated correctly below the bezel. Performing repairs like that on a Chronomat bezel is a "non-invasive" procedure (i.e. it doesn't require the caseback to be opened) so IMO it'd be fine to let a competent watchmaker take a look.
(In fact, it's actually a job you can do yourself if you have the right screwdriver, but if you've not tackled anything like that before, then leave to a watchmaker).
