I bought a Breitling Superocean Heritage Chronographe 44 in Kuala Lumpar Airport on the 19/03/2014. Following the instructions setting the time and date. Went to ware it the following day and noticed that it had stopped, This has become a regular occurrence which I am beginning to the think there is a fault in the manufacture.
Has anybody had the same problem or can advise if I am doing something wrong in the setting.

Thanks

Lyndon

Welcome to BreitlingSource.

We need to diagnose a few things before knowing if something is wrong. The first thing to do is to make sure that the watch is fully wound so unscrew the crown and then give the watch a full wind - if you are right handed at least 40 turns of the crown away from you. You can't overwind an automatic so feel free to give it 50, 60 or even 100 turns.

Then just leave the watch on the side and don't touch it until it stops. That will tell us how long the power reserve is and when we know that we can start to figure out if there are any issues.

Hi
Wound the watch 80 turns last Saturday at 7.00pm, Left watch on the table and it stopped again at 8.20pm on Monday Evening.

Ok, so there is nothing wrong with the power reserve, in fact it is very good, it's only rated for 42 hours and yours ran for 49.

Now, repeat the winding but this time wear the watch normally. If the automatic winding is working properly it should continue running. If it stops after a couple of days then we have an issue with that.

I have an Avenger GMT II that does exactly the same thing. I have returned it to the dealer for warranty repair, waiting for it's return and hopefully they will tell me what was wrong.
