As the Title says I bought a Chronomat 44 6 weeks ago from the authorized dealer here in Saudi Arabia.
From the very first day I noticed the watch stops after 8 hours of letting it off my hand during sleeping.
after 2 visits to the shop I bought it from, they claims I should stop the chronograph to reserve power for the movement!!!!!
what a ..... justification they claim?
P.S. I have been owning Breitling watches since 15 years ago and now owns 3 different models other than the last one I bought which I do not have any major problems at all.

I tried to convince them with the problem but they do not want to help or exchange the watch for a new one.

So what I should do with them?

Well running the chronograph will reduce the power reserve, but obviously not to 8 hours.

The first thing to do is to try and demonstrate a trend - is the watch always stopping at around the same time (either hour or certain minutes past a particular hour). If so that suggests something in the running train that may be causing an issue. You should also give the watch a full wind and then leave it alone to make sure that the issue isn't with the automatic winding not working properly.

Once you have established more precise criteria the AD should be able to validate the problem, if not then bypass them and go straight to Breitling for a warranty repair.

Welcome to BreitlingSource.

Thanks so much Roffensian for the detailed well-informed reply.
I will make the procedures you have suggested and will of course keep you all updated.

I'd send it back to Breitling by the most direct and easiest method. If they could not figure it out after two visits then they surely won't on a third.

Oh, and welcome to the BSF.
