picked up my navitimer world last week at Heathrow T3. The gent in the boutique set the watch to the local time for my destination...great. Now back in the UK, i require to alter the time. I have reviewed Breitling guidance:

Wind the watch by 40 clockwise turns of the crown.
Pull the crown out to position 2, turn it clockwise to adjust the calendar to the day prior to the date when it is set into operation.
Pull the crown out to position 3. Turn the hands so as to make the calendar jump once when the hands pass through midnight. Then adjust the hour and minute.
Push the crown back in to position 1.

im fine with this, pulled crown to position 2, changed date. the problem is i cant pull the crown to position 3 to alter the time. obviously concerned about applying too much force and damaging it.

i appreciate its a new watch but should it be so stiff??

welcome all comments.

Regards,

Difficult to diagnose without holding it, but no, it shouldn't be stiff. Might be worth stopping by an AD to have them take a look.

:welcome:

Never had that problem with my Navi World but you are wise to be careful. The boutique set the watch to local time, so I assume they moved the time on at the position 3. It maybe a little stiff being new, but if you feel it is too high on the tolerance side perhaps you can drop into anther AD or back to the boutique and ask them to check it. Not good for wherever you are at the moment, but might be best to be careful. Can you time yourself some other way until you get back to a dealer?

I know this sounds dumb, but remember the watch is new to you and I would check that the position 3 is actually the second click out for the crown. It does not go any further, so are you there already and you just might not know it? Pos 1 is against the case, 2 is the first click out and 3 is the second click. You have already changed the date so you know where pos 2, are you sure you are not at pos 3 when the stiffness occurs? To check, just wind the crown and see if it moves the hands. Told you it was a dumb thing for me to write..........

thanks to both of you.

i was being a little too careful and how now managed to alter the time. it was very stiff to pull out to pos 3 though.

all is now well in the world of the navi world. have a nice day.
