Hello Breitling lovers, greetings from the Netherlands.

tomorrow I'm gonna pick up my lateset acquisition, a Chronomat 81.950 from around '87.
It is nicely serviced and looks very nice.

But I just might feel to change the rider tabs to give the watch a more crisp look.

Would you advise against it to keep the caracter of the watch?

Or could you give an address how to get them without having to bring the watch
to my Breitling AD and having to wait months for the watch to return and paying a high price?

I have read on this forum that some AD's just send the tabs to the owner, that would be great
since it is easy to replace them myself.

Thanks.

I assume you are talking about replacing steel for gold ones? If so, then unless your watch has gold hands and markers, I think that gold rider tabs would look a little odd - but that's just my personal opinion.

In terms where to get them, then ebay is your best bet if you don't want to go direct to Breitling. As of yesterday there were a few gold rider tabs for the Crosswind on there, so I'd assume you could find some for a Chronomat.

Thanks for the reply, but actually I want to replace the original gold rider tabs which look
quite worn, so I want the same tabs, in gold but only new[er].

Thanks.

Same answer - if you don't want to go through Breitling then you are going to have to try and find them on eBay.
