Many thanks for the offer challenger, but I won't go down that route. Based on information from the guys here the 423A is not the "correct" bracelet - that would be the "Old Nav/Cosmo" bracelet. Again based on info from this forum, the 423A would fit but so would the 440A which is waiting for me at my local retailer (for a price of less than US$1400).

Thanks again to all here for their advice.

Hello John,

No problem, hope that this new bracelet will fit your watch.
I also have an old/navi bracelet for a 24H00 watch, "Scott Carpenter limited edition) and it's like a 423A.

Next time if you need to check for some items avaibility at Breitling, let me know. :D

Best regards,

Chalenger_fr

It's not correct just for age, end links are the same.

Well I'm now the happy owner of an Old Navitimer II on a 440A Pilot bracelet. Looks like a new watch :) Incidentally, even though I understand this bracelet is not fully "conformal" to the case, it's pretty darn good.

Sorry to be dense, but I'm still confused about the correct/ original bracelet. Based on info earlier in this thread, that would be a 5-link per segment Old Nav/ Cosmo bracelet, as shown in this eBay listing (have I got the correct one?). That can't have the same end link as the 423A can it bnewbie? Or am I misunderstanding your comment above "end links are the same"?

Cheers,
John

Old Nav/Cosmo is 5 rows Pilot bracelet on early Old Navitimers and Cosmos, when Navitimer line got the 7 rows Navitimer bracelets, correct bracelet for both Old Navi and Cosmo was 423A. 440A is newer bracelet for Cosmo with same end links as 423A. The only difference between 423A and 440A is raised logo on the safety clasp.
