HI GUYS. I SALUTE YOU FROM CHIHUAHUA, MEXICO. THE MOST VIOLENT PLACE AROUND THE WORLD AT THIS TIME, SADLY.

THE THING IS THAT I RECENTLY LAYED MY HANDS ON THIS BEAUTIFUL WINDRIDER CHRONO SEXTANT, BUT I HAVE SOME QUESTIONS.
WHEN I START THE CHRONO, EVERYTHING GOES JUST FINE, BUT WHEN I TRY TO USE THE "LAP" FUNCTION, THE LOWER BUTTON JUST WONT STOP THE SECOND HAND, BUT WHEN I STOP THE CHRONO IT RESETS IT PROPERLY.
I DON'T KNOW IF THIS IS HOW IT IS SUPPOSED TO WORK OR IF IT NEEDS TO BE REPAIRED.
ALSO WHEN I RESET IT, THE HAND "CLICKS" RAPIDLY TO THE 12 LOCATION DIFFERENTLY THAN MY COLT CHRONO OCEAN WICH SECOND HAND MOVES SLOWLY AND SMOOTHLY TO THE 12 POSITION.

I WILL APPRECIATE ANY INFO YOU CAN GIVE.

REGARDS...

KARLEWIS

It's working correctly. The movement doesn't have a lap function (flyback or rattrapante) so reset only works when the chrono is stopped.

The chrono reset is different because it is a mechanical watch vs. your quartz CCO.

Sextant is Cal55, which is meca quartz (quartz with mechanical chrono).
As Roff said, it hasn't got flyback function and the chrono resets like it should.

You are welcome.
Ref# is correct.
Best way to find a market value is to check completed auctions on ebay, or see asking prices on http://www.chrono24.com which are slightly higher than they should be.
