I am woefully remiss on posting pics of some of my latest acquisitions. One of them is a Bentley GT black dial two-tone (1 of 100 made, according to the list on this forum). I was a happy camper to get this one! It has the B13B movement, based on the Valjoux 7750.

One thing I notice is that if I take it out of my winder after about a week or so, if I hold the watch case level, I can frequently hear the rotor spinning around and around and around on its own. It does this well over a dozen times. If I shake it a little, it will often do it 6-12 more times. After that it settles down. The sound is the "sliding" sound, not the "ratcheting" sound, as I know rotor emits different noises depending on which direction it rotates.

I know that it is not possible to overwind it, but I am curious what is actually going on here. Is this something I should be concerned about?

The winder is a Swiss Watch International model WW-121 (like $39 from Chronoshark), set to clockwise rotation. I don't remember the exact TPD, but I did look it up once and it is slightly but not that much over the recommended value for a 7750.

Nothing to worry about, 7750 is just loud.

As bnewbie says the 7750 is loud, and what makes it more noticeable is that it only winds in one direction (clockwise). As a result there is very little resistance on the rotor when it's spinning anti-clockwise which is why it rotates more than movements that wind in both directions.

It is just talking to you. Expressing it's appreciation for the wrist time!
