There is a Pupitre? for sale on ebay. I am not familiar with this watch. I am not saying it is not genuine, I believe it is. I just can't seem to find any info anywhere on it.
I have checked Breitling Source models and
Richter and the closest thing I can find is the Pult manufactured in the early 70's. The two watches look very similar except as far as I can tell without close up inspection the 12:00 crown is absent on the Pult.

I'm not interested in purchasing the watch but I am just interested in learnig about the history of Breitling and its watches.

Can anyone give me maybe the manufacture year of the Pupitre? The seller says between 1970-1999. Is that essentially correct. And since I can't find much info on this piece is it at all collectible or common as fleas on a dog?
Thanks guys.

Watch looks Ok from what I can see - though obviously no movement.

Pults / Pupitres were produced in the 70s and are very similar watches. Manual wind (Valjoux 7740) Pults in fact did have a 12 o'clock crown, only the automatics were at 6.

There's nothing particularly special about them, just a model in the 70s spirit of being 'different'. They are fairly readily available because Old World had a ton of them from the bankruptcy, and while those are now pretty much sold out, they are out there in relatively good condition simply because they were sitting in a NOS state for 25 years plus.
