I wondered if anyone can give me any information on this watch. I went to a local auction to buy a 1942 Rolex, but left with this, did I do the right thing? Hello Gary, Nice piece! Looks to me like it's legit! The patina and markings seem correct on the dial and the movement is unsigned, which is a good signal. Early Breitlings didn't have signed movements. The pushers are the typical square shape as well. Based on the serial number, I would date this piece to 1945 so the numbers are right.
