hi,

i love the vintage watches but don't have the money to buy a proper one.
now i accendently stumbled upon this watch. It spoke to me from the moment i saw it. I really liked the dial. I bought it for 2.5 euros in a second hand shop here in Belgium. So didn't care if it was fake or even working. I thought it would be a nice accesoire for a costume party or carnaval or something like that....

But when i left the store I discoverd it was working (runs 10 min a day fast) and yo have to wind it every 5/6 hours. crono also works.

Tried google but came up with nothing. ebay the same....

description:

*takky strap; brand fixolex (on some elements of the strap their are written some pre marketing elements of witch the strap maes use off.)

*some scratches on the glass

*no brand name on the dial (or somewhere else for that matter)
only: cronographe suisse , anti magnetic, 17 rubis. the dial itself is in really good shape.

* on the back: serial 484594 and handcarved in dutch and in a way (font) that nobody these days would use.' in memory of kerkhof-gryspeerdt 1922-1947).
So I guess some got it in 1947 because he worked at this firm for 25 years.

I just want to know if somebody knows the brand or even if the watch is real? Im guessing so but you never know for sure. Its really growing on me...

What do you guys think?

It's likely original because if not then it would have had a fancy name put on it.

What it is - no idea, one of many, many generic brands.

Absolutely - too many people fall in love with the name instead of the watch - if you like it then who cares who made it. Check the movement out as that may have a name on it and might help us nail it down a little more.
