hi there what would be your opinion on investing in a vintage breitling watch? i found one on ebay i like but don't know what its worth and would it be a good investment what would you suggest investing in thanks graham

I love these pieces!

While Old World (the link that Mario provided) has a lot less selection than they used to I would always buy from them rather than eBay - they are completely trustworthy.

That said, I wouldn't buy any of these as investments. There has been the possibility of turning a profit on vintage Breitlings in recent years - especially the 806 Navitimers, but they are very unreliable, and pieces like this are a little love or hate style wise. If you like one, buy one, but don't do do for investment reasons.

Incidentally, I would guess that this piece was sourced from Old World originally, but I wouldn't buy it off the Bay without a movement photo.

I can't say I really like any of them. I could live with one of the chronomats but they seem a bit pricey. I guess it's what you have to do to have NOS. Like Roffensian said, they used to have a lot more to choose from :?
