Must admit to having been bit by the Vintage Breitling bug lately, so here is a quick & dirty wrist shot of my latest acquisition for you fellow fans...
...a ref. 1809 "Jumbo" Chronomatic Cosmonaute in wonderful original condition and on its correct and rare period bracelet.
First impressions: Large diameter to be sure but not unreasonably thick and therefore wears quite comfortably. And did anyone make nicer complicated dials than Breitling of yore? Don't think so--the mix of light gold & silver gilt print is really handsome. Also gotta love those big, funky hands, not to mention the red date...
In any case, I'll give this baby a test drive for a few days and maybe I'll re-post in greater detail.
