It's an old Chrono-matic. Roff will tell you the year. ![]() |

Nothing wrong with what I can see - but of course the movement and caseback are needed before we can really say that it is fine. With a black date ring and white hour and minute hands it's probably an early one so likely 1969 - 71 vintage. If you can provide the serial number you'll be able to prove me helplessly wrong ![]() |

Thanks for the help. I think the serial number must be on the inside, and all I have to open it with is a can opener, which has not worked out for me. Is this thing worth fixing up? Can it be restored? Thanks very much for all your help! And if so, any ideas of how much it might cost? I sure hope its worth something, as I traded a real nice watch for this one. -ethan |

No, please don't use a can opener to open the back ![]() ![]() There is a member on here - chronodeco (Craig) who can likely help you out with restoration. It's not going to be excessive if the movement is OK, but of course we have no idea at this point what's inside - and that's going to affect value. Take the watch to a watchmaker and they can pop the back off and let you take some photos of the movement and inside of the caseback. |
