Hi!
I've been reading a lot, but never wrote anything. This time I need your help. What do you think of this ebay piece? Seller told me, it is from about 1940. I did not pay yet...what do ya think?
Thanks a lot,
Dirk

The photos aren't great, but the Breitling on the caseback is definitely fake - could be a genuine caseback that has been engraved later. Do you have a model and serial number?

It's doubtful that it's 1940.

Wrong movement too - they never used the Landeron movement in that model. Don't bother to ask about serial numbers - its a really bad fake. If you want to see a real one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... RK:MESE:IT

Didn't even notice the Landeron movement - that'll teach me to be quick.

And now that I look at it again....

I can't believe that I didn't mention the crown - that's ugly!
