Post subject:  Correct Dial on Top Time 810?

Hello all!

Wanted to double check the correctness of this watch. Everything seems to be correct and in very nice condition. The only concern I have is that it has more of a radial silver dial with the black sub dials, as this seemed to be on the 815s? Does this dial color variant with red chrono hand seem to be correct to you, or a factory replacement dial? Is it possible for 810s to have this dial and hand configuration? In the Fratello article (https://www.fratellowatches.com/tbt-bre ... 10/#pid=24) I see an 810 that seems to be similar to mine with the silver dial and red sweep hand. I just cant quite tell from the pictures in that article if that 810 has the silver finish dial like mine.

Follow up to my above post. My watch has a serial that starts with 140, which seemingly places it's production year in 72'. I've seen quite a few transitional 810s and 815s during this exact year and near this serial number. My guess is that it left the factory with the silver colored dial of the 815 with the "Top Time'' written on it as many this year did. also, the orange sweep seems to be correct for this period as well. at the factory they may have used this newer colored dial from 815 and placed the v178 and stamped it 810 w/ orange sweep. This seems logical, but would love to hear others opinion in the forum.

no, you can‘t switch dials between the 178 and the 7736. incompatible.

ok, so my dial was a late mark2 factory top time 810 sunburst silver dial. not an 815 transitional.
