This is my first post on this forum and actually the first Breitling I have ever owned. I recently acquired this Breitling Ref 769 in a large lot of watches. It was in the non original case, with no crystal, and was thrown in a jewel bag of loose parts watches :| I would love to someday make this piece whole and am in the process of acquiring needed parts. I have noticed there are case marking on different ones I have seen and am wondering if cases varied slightly over the years. Pictures below show the black dial watch I have. Pictures following it show another watch I was contemplating purchasing to use for the case. Is this case correct and will it work?? Unfortunately it is missing the rotating ring and bezel. Maybe someone has one here??

dials are mechanically the same for all case generations of the ref. 769, also hands will work on all executions.

BUT the donor is an early 769, still based on the 13 lignes Venus cal. 152, your movement is a 14 lignes cal. 175 - cases are incompatible.

also buying a donor without a sliderule insert and bezel leaves you without the parts hardest to find.
