Hello all - First, thank you for the wealth of info available in this forum.

My question. I've located what appears to be a clean and authentic Cosmonaute 809. It was advertised as having the Venus 178 movement, however the reference on the case back indicates 809-36. After educating myself in this forum it is my understanding that this reference usually (always?) used the Valjoux 7736. Further examination from a subsequently supplied photo of the watch with the back removed confirms it has the Valjoux 7736. Seller is asking US $5,800 - worth the purchase?

We need a better picture to confirm that the lume on the numbers are actually Tritium as the dial indicates. Personally I don’t think it’s Tritium.
Pushers have definitely been replaced.

Kurt, 7736 pushers are longer, need more travel.
but good pics would be nice ;)

Maybe you’re right.

Subdial hands are wrong too. (Sorry, they are not, saw subdials as small at first)

The watch is a freak imo.

must admit I have no reliable comparison base for the 7736 Navs & Cosmonautes - which, btw., did not appear in the production ledgers
