Complete newbie to all things Breitling. So please pardon my complete ignorance but I am very interested in purchasing a vintage 809 or 806. They just have such presence that my Rolex and omega lack. I saw this for sale and just loved the look but no idea how to age it and the hands looked a bit odd. They appear original but just not to this watch. Any help and resources would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all. |

Maybe with serial number in caseback you could determine the year |

The hands just look like they have faded badly. Overall the watch has not cosmetically survived that well - 7.5/10. Sliderule looks good though and that's the part that normally suffers the most. Thanks gents. That was exactly what I was after. One more question if I may. The back of the case does not have a serial number. I have seen that on a few other examples. Does that mean it is a service replacement or are there years that did not have it. Many thanks. |

serial is inside only until late 1967 - this is a 65/66 |
