I have read some really useful information on this site regarding the transition from the mk1.1 to mk2. I am aware that some mk2 hands were the white thinner mk1.1 hands. I am currently looking at a mk2 with mk2 hands but they are white instead of metal.

Have these been painted white or were there any of these issues as genuine.

Of course I may be off the mark so any help would be gratefully received.

Thanks Buddman.

Do I leave the watch alone or possibly seek out correct hands for it? The dial looked good to my eye.

Always best to have the correct hands. These watches are 50 years old and original parts are hard to come by. If you want to send me a PM with your details I can look through my spares to see if I have any.

Dial looks great.
