Dear All,

Would anyone be able to help me find a gold plated case for a 1966 Top Time 2000? I have a good working watch but the case metal is beginning to deteriorate so I want to move all the components into a replacement case.

Have you considered having the case replated?
Might be easier and cheaper (detracts from vintage value a little but if you're going to throw out the case whats to loose?)

Hi,

Yes, that is where I started but the base metal in the case has started to corrode so there is a section where the back and case come together where replating will not take. Not having any luck finding a replacement but I am sure something will surface in time.

Send some pictures to replateit.com and ask if they can do the job. i've sent them truly dreadful condition cases in the past and they have worked magic!

Unfortunately, Peter at Replateit says its too far gone. So, if anyone has a link to a gold plated Top Time 2000, please let me know.

Still no luck with finding a Top Time 2000 case. I have found a case for a Top Time 810, does anyone know if it is possible to use that case and carry forward the case back from the 2000? If it works, would it impact the originality or are they identical?

no. the 2002 is 36mm and the 810 is ~38mm.
