This watch is advertised as a 1960 806 all black but has a venus 175 movement. Is this correct?

Quite a high price tag.

Seller just made a mistake. It’s a correct but overpriced per condition. I’d pass....

I think that is a Venus 175 movement Wayne. They look almost identical to the 178 but the bridge is stamped with a 175 style logo and if you look at the retaining screws they are barely keeping the movement secured. The 175 is slightly smaller than the 178 which would account for the spacing around the movement. Seller evidently doesn't know what he's selling.

Paul, I totally agree BUT if it does have a 175 in it, it’s got more issues than just the wrong movement. If in fact it does have a Venus 175 than that hour register is just for show and not go! I’d just ask the seller if the bottom register works properly. If not, RUN!!!

Paul, that’s a 178, the smaller hour counter caliber would be the 152

Absolutely correct. Senior moment on my behalf. I shouldn't post before morning coffee.
