Post subject:  1940s Breitling chronograph restoration - HELP!

Hi everyone,

I've just joined this group to see if I could get some advice.. I'm a bit of a novice so bear with me!

I've inherited an old 1940s breitling chronograph which is in need of restoration. The bezel was damaged and lost so I need to find a new one. Having taken the watch to two vintage watch shops in london, both told me they were unable to source a correct bezel and couldn't help me further. I'm not too sure where to go from here, i've had a look on eBay etc. but i've had no luck...

The info I have:

Breitling Chronograph
stamped on the back is 667453 176
I believe its Venus 170 - having done a bit of googling and comparing to images, I think it's from 1946 but I could be wrong.

I'll be able to post pictures in a few days once I have collected it from the shop, but thought it worth asking in advance.

Any advise greatly appreciated!!

Thanks
